Quantum magic enabling higher order comprehension?

Curiously the cutting edge of human understanding of reality, as articulated by conventional science, is through the evolving framework offered by quantum mechanics -- despite many cautionary challenges to its comprehension. As variously asserted by Richard Feynman: If you think you understand quantum mechanics, you don't understand quantum mechanics. and I think I can safely say that nobody really understands quantum mechanics.

There is therefore a degree of irony to the framing of such understanding through "magic":

• Kanato Goto et al: Quantum 'magic' could help explain the origin of spacetime (Phys.org, April 2023); Probing chaos by magic monotones (Physical Review D, 2022):
  • The team came across magic", which is a mathematical measure of how difficult a quantum state is to simulate using an ordinary classical (non-quantum) computer. Their calculations showed that in a chaotic system almost any state will evolve into one that is "maximally magical" -- the most difficult to simulate.
